  Having worked in both coffee and chocolate for years of my life I have been lucky to get to know amazing coffee shop owners around America.  My partner Thokozani and I recently discovered Snow White Coffee and left full of incredible coffee and love after a what was a great conversation about life with Owner and Barista Alex Bell.  
  
  I personally appreciate these coffee shop experiences to the upmost.  They transcend coffee and mean so much more!  Especially personally knowing the hard work and what it takes to create and then continue to run a wonderful coffee shop day in day out.  It's hard good and dyanmic work.  With that said I wouldn't doubt to find Alex in full grind mode on a busy Sat in Barista flow state and music in the background.  This day we were lucky enough to talk story.  
  
  When our car battery died, Alex let us charge our jumper until we could get back on the road!  If you live in Oakland or are visiting, check this place out, it's fantastic from coffee to aesthetic and a whole lot more!

  I entered the coffee shop and the barista asked what I would like.   I normally ask for a sample of cold brew whenever I go to a new coffee shop.  
  
  Every coffee shop I have ever been to has happily offered a sample of their cold brew when asked.   Usually I won't ask for a sample if there is a long line.   There was no line today and actually no one else even in the coffee shop.  I said can I please sample your cold brew and compare it Vs your nitro.  
  
  This barista was in a funk or bad mood and I have no idea why. Instead of giving me a sample be says they are the exact same coffee but one has nitrogen in it like Guinness.  I said okay then can I please just sample your regular cold brew.  He proceeds to pour a full 16 oz cup. I told him excuse me I just wanted to sample a little.  He huffs under his breath, slams a plastic cup down and gives me a sample. I try it and didn't like it at all.  I told him since he already poured this other glass I'll just purchase that to not cause any trouble.  He continues with the attitude and tells me to just order whatever.  I said okay I'll take the nitro.  He then takes the other cup and throws it in the sink right behind him.  
  
  I was tempted to just leave right then and there but purchased the nitro which was 3/5 stars.  Customer service 1/5 stars.  
  
  I will not return to this place. I hope the guy was just having a bad day and other patrons do not experience the same service.

  I seriously craving a chai latte and this was the closest spot to get one. I walked in and the person at the register was having a full on conversation with what looked like a friend. We were barely greeted when we entered the small cafe. I asked for a chai and instead of asking me about any preferences, she continued to talk to her friend, which is found to be very rude. The chai was only okay, but the service wasn't good at all. So what if it's a slow day, engage your customers.. unfortunately, we won't be back.

  Good service, chai latte is a little bit bitter for my taste though. It was not enough chai for me. I appreciate the good service and the time put into the coffees though.

  I was looking for a coffee shop and came across Snow White coffee.  I was immediately attracted by their colorfully painted exterior and cute outdoor seating.
  
  When I walked in, I noticed that there were no chairs inside, so maybe it was a standing  only section inside?
  
  Anywhoo, I ordered their Oakland chill which was cold brew coffee with simple syrup and half and half that is mixed in a martini shaker.  Absolutely delicious!
  
  Pros:
  -great coffee!  
  -free WiFi
  
  Cons:
  -they had ran out of food when I got there
  -no indoor seating
  -outdoor seating is cute, but tables are on a slight incline which was interesting.
  -street parking
  
  So if the weather is good, outdoor seating is a rather nice. Today it was pretty chilly, so I didn't stay here long.  Not ideal for studying but a great place to meet up with friends or come by with a dog since there is outdoor seating.
